# API tokens

You need different tokens for Marple Insight and Marple DB. Both can be created in the UI:

Go to Settings → API Tokens. Click "Create token" to generate a new token with the desired expiry date. Tokens are treated as admin users. Tokens are only shown once, so keep them securely stored after generation.
